Structure
Operating substance - Cetirizine.
Pharmacological action
Antihistamine, antiallergic. Selectively blocks peripheric histaminic H1-receptors, weakens Histaminum action on vessels, reduces a hyperemia and an edema. Development of dermal reactions (a blister and a hyperemia) on introduction of Histaminum, specific allergens, cooling (at patients with a cold urticaria) effectively brakes. The effect is shown during 1-2 h after reception, duration of blockade of H1-receptors reaches more than 24 h, at newborns and children till 2 years - nearby 12 h. Facilitates symptoms of an allergic rhinitis (a sneezing, a cold, an itch, a dacryagogue). Development of the early phase of allergic reaction mediated by Histaminum brakes. Food intake does not influence completeness of absorption. It is minimum metabolized in a liver with formation of an inactive metabolite and it is deduced in not changed kind mainly by kidneys. Gets into thoracal milk.
Indications to application
Seasonal and all-the-year-round allergic rhinitis, pollinosis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, dermal itch, Quincke's disease; a chronic eczema, a bronchial asthma.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, including to Hydroxyzinum, pregnancy, feeding by a breast, children's age till 2 years (till 6 years at disturbance of function of kidneys or a liver). Restrictions to application: Disturbance of function of kidneys and a liver, advanced age.
Side effect
From nervous system and sense organs: drowsiness, fatigability, excitation, a headache, giddiness, anxiety, nervousness, emotional lability, disturbance of concentration of attention and thinking, a sleeplessness, depression, euphoria, confusion of consciousness, an amnesia, a depersonalisation, disturbance of coordination of movements, a tremor, a hyperkinesia, paresthesia, a dysphonia, a myelitis, a paralysis, a ptosis, accommodation and sight disturbance, a pain in eyes, a glaucoma, a xeroma, a conjunctivitis, a hematopsia, a sonitus, deafness, disturbance of sensation of a smell. From organs GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT: Dryness in a mouth, change or absence of gustatory perception, appetite rising, an anorexia, a stomatitis (including ulcerative), a discoloration and puffiness of tongue, the sialosis augmentation, the raised cariosity, thirst, vomiting, a dyspepsia, a gastritis, an abdominal pain, a meteorism, a diarrhoeia, a constipation, a hemorrhoids, a melena, a rectal bleeding, disturbances of function of a liver. From cardiovascular system: a migraine, it is the extremely rare - palpitation, a hypertensia, a heart failure. From respiratory system: a rhinitis, a nasal bleeding, a nasal polyp, a pharyngitis, tussis, a sinusitis, a bronchitis, augmentation of bronchial secretion, a bronchospasm, an infection of the top respiratory tracts, a pneumonia, a hyperventilation. From genitourinary system: an emiction delay, edemas, a polyuria, a dysuria, a hematuria, an infection of urinary ways, a cystitis, a dysmenorrhea, an intermenstrual bleeding, a menorrhagia, a vaginitis. From a locomotorium: an arthralgia, an arthritis, an arthrosis, a dorsodynia, muscular delicacy. From integuments: a xeroderma, an eruption, an itch, a furunculosis, a dermatitis, an eczema, a hyperkeratosis, an erythema, diaphoresis augmentation, an alopecia, a Quincke's disease, a hypertrichosis, a photosensitization, a seborrhea. Other: a malaise, a fever, a fever, inflow, dehydration, a diabetes, a lymphadenopathy, a pain in mammary glands, augmentation of mass of a body, dermal allergic reactions, including an urticaria.
Interaction
Theophyllinum slightly reduces a clearance. We will combine pseudo-Epinephrinum, erythromycin, Diazepamum and Cimetidinum.
Overdosage
Symptoms: drowsiness, are possible - anxiety, an emiction delay, a tremor, a tachycardia, an itch, an eruption. Treatment: a gastric lavage, appointment of the activated coal; supporting and symptomatic therapy. The hemodialysis is noneffective.
Special indicatings
Does not recomend to use with alcohol. With care to apply in an operating time to drivers of vehicles and the people which trade is bound to the raised concentration of attention.
