Famvir (Famciclovir) - an antiviral preparation. Indications
The infections caused Herpes simplex (type I and II): a primary infection, an exacerbation of a chronic infection.

Way of application and dose
Treatment should be begun as soon as possible, right after diagnosis statements.
Adults
For treatment of acute infection Varicella zoster (surrounding depriving) it is necessary to accept 1 tablet on 250 mg 3 times a day within 7 days. At patients with the lowered immune status the recommended dose makes 500 mg 3 times/sut within 10 days.
At primary infection Herpes simplex the recommended dose makes 250 mg 3 times/sut within 5 days. At relapses of a chronic infection by the adult prescribe on 125 mg 2 times/sut within 5 days. At patients with the lowered immune status the recommended dose makes 500 mg 2 times/sut within 7 days. At a HIV-infected of patients the effective dose makes 500 mg 2 times/days
Patients of advanced age: the dosage does not vary, if function of kidneys is not broken.
Correction of a regimen of dosage is required from patients with disturbances of secretory function of kidneys. At patients with disturbance of function of kidneys clearance reduction of Famvir becomes perceptible.
