To a preparation are changeably sensitive: Staphylococ - cus aureus and epidermidis; Haemophilus influenzae; Bac - teroides fragilis and Vibro cholerae. Against a preparation are steady: Enterobacteriaceae, Pseudomonas. Akinetobakter.
Indications to application
Use Roxithromycin for Treatment of infections sensitive to a preparation, including infections of the top and bottom respiratory tracts, an infection of a skin and soft tissues, an infection of a genitourinary tract (including the infections transferred sexual by, except a gonorrhea); spotted fever preventive maintenance (a purulent inflammation of covers of a brain) at the persons who were in contact to the diseased.
Way of Roxithromycin application and dose
Before appointment it is desirable for patient of a preparation to define sensitivity to it of the microflora which have caused disease at the given patient. The adult prescribe 0,15 g a preparation 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening, to meal. In case of hepatic insufficiency a preparation prescribe in a dose 0,15 g 1 time a day. At appointment of a preparation as the patient with hepatic insufficiency extra care, the control of function of a liver and dose updating is necessary.
At appointment of a preparation as the patient with renal insufficiency, and also the patient of advanced age of necessity for dose updating does not arise.
Joint application with derivatives of Ergotaminum vasoconstrictive preparations is not supposed, as can lead to ergotism development (a poisoning with ergot alkaloids) and a necrosis (necrosis) of tissues of extremities.
At simultaneous application with cyclosporine lower its dose and supervise function of kidneys, as rising of concentration of this preparation in blood (owing to oppression of its metabolism) and creatinine level (an end-product of a nitric exchange) in blood is possible.
Side effect. A nausea, vomiting, abdominal pains, diarrhoeia, transitional rising of level of transaminases and an alkaline phosphatase (enzymes); allergic reactions.
Contraindications
A hypersensibility to antibiotics-macroleads; simultaneous reception of preparations of type of Ergotaminum; pregnancy and the period of feeding by a breast. The Roxithromycin should be prescribed with care the patient with the indicating to allergic reactions in the anamnesis (case history).
