Triamterene Side effect
From the party GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT and a liver: a dyspepsia, a diarrhoeia; at predisposed patients probably development of disturbances of function of a liver.
From cardiovascular system: at long application of a preparation in high doses an arterial hypotension are possible.
From hemopoiesis organs: seldom - changes of a picture of peripheric blood (including a thrombocytopenia).
From laboratory indicators: rising of the maintenance of urinary acid and a glucose in blood, at long application of high doses of a preparation are possible a hyponatremia, a hypopotassemia, at predisposed patients - a hyperpotassemia.
The other: are possible a dermal eruption, at predisposed patients - acidosis development.
Triamterene Contraindications
- Hepatic insufficiency (including with encephalopathy implications);
- Renal insufficiency;
- A hyperpotassemia;
- Simultaneous appointment of salts of a potassium (except hypopotassemia cases);
- Simultaneous appointment of Lidoflazinum, Prenylaminum, Vincaminum;
- Pregnancy;
- A hypersensibility to components of a preparation to derivatives.
Pregnancy and lactemia
The preparation is contraindicative to application in pregnancy.
Triamterene Special indicatings
In case of simultaneous application of other antihypertensive agent reduction of a dose the Isobar is possible.

Prior to the beginning and in the course of treatment by the Isobar it is recommended to supervise concentration of sodium and a potassium in a blood plasma, thus it is necessary to give special attention to patients with a cirrhosis. The control of a functional condition of kidneys, and also maintenances of urinary acid and a glucose in blood, especially at sick of a gout and a diabetes Is recommended.
In order to avoid hyperpotassemia development it is not recommended to prescribe simultaneously with the Isobar amiloride and Spironolactonum.
Extra care and the constant control of concentration of a potassium in blood is required at joint appointment the Isobar with Amphotericinum B, glucocorticoids, purgatives.
In cases of joint appointment the Isobar and lithium preparations the control of concentration of lithium in blood is necessary.
Bluish colouring of urine by one of products of an exchange of Triamterenum is possible; it not dangerously also does not demand treatment change.
