Active substance - Lamotrigine.
Pharmacological action
The anticonvulsant. Possesses the antiepileptic activity. Quickly also it is full enough absorbed from GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT. The maximum concentration is reached in 2,5 hours after reception. The semideducing period makes 13-70 hours. Forms glucuronides. It is excreted basically by kidneys.
Indications to application
Attacks: convulsive , partial and generalised.
Contraindications
The hypersensibility, the expressed disturbances of function of a liver, hepatic insufficiency, pregnancy and lactemia, children's age till 12 years.
Side effect
Headache, giddiness, drowsiness, dream disturbances, sensation of weariness, aggression, confusion of consciousness, a nausea, liver dysfunction, a leukopenia, a thrombocytopenia, a Quincke's disease, Stevens's syndrome - Johnson, a toxic necrosis of a skin, a dermal eruption.
Overdosage
Symptoms:a nystagmus, giddiness, drowsiness, a headache, vomiting, a coma. Treatment: the activated coal and a gastric lavage.
Special indicatings
Sharp cancellation Lamotrigine can provoke increase of attacks, therefore a dose it is necessary to reduce gradually
