Inhabitants of Denmark are assured, that the breast cancer can be bound to work in a night shift. In 2008 75 Danes for whom the mammary gland cancer has been diagnosed, have handed in statements on reception of indemnifications in National board on industrial traumas.
Department has surveyed complaints and has taken out positive decisions on 37 of them, informs the "Detail" Internet edition.
In each of these cases experts have not found out, except the night work, any other factors which could explain development in women of oncologic disease. All declarants have received indemnifications of the different size. Payments were made by the companies insuring an employer's liability.

About that work in a night shift causes dream disturbances, weariness and problems with digestion, physicians declared for a long time. Researches show, that because of sleepless nights the female organism develops less melatonin - the substance suppressing function of sexual glands and helping to prevent a cancer. By the way, in 2001 employees of the Center of oncology of name of Hutchinson (USA) have noticed, that at night workers the risk to be ill with a cancer of a breast more on 60 %.
To survey possibility of payment of indemnifications to the women, a sick cancer of a breast, Denmark has solved in November, 2007. There was it after promulgation of results of the local and international researches showing possible existence of communication between night work within 20-30 years and development of a serious illness.

Now the Danish authorities intend to enter a mammary gland cancer in the list occupational diseases. The definitive decision is not accepted yet: officials wait from the International agency on studying of oncologic diseases of the report on last researches on the given theme.
