Cod-liver oil provokes an intestine cancer

Cod-liver oilDuring experiences over mice scientists from the USA have noticed, that high doses of cod-liver oil stimulate development of colitises and an intestine cancer. Results of research can surprise the scientific world.
To science well-known cod-liver oil about exclusive advantage. However scientists from University of Michigan led by the expert in Jennifer Fenton's foodstuff managed to find out, that excessively high doses of cod-liver oil are hazardous to health.

They fed mice with the cod-liver oil enriched docosahexaenoic by acid to prove, that this diet reduces risk of development of a cancer. "Actually we have received exactly opposite results, - tells Jennifer Fenton. - We have found out, that at mice the lethal form of a cancer of an intestine at last stage when we fed with their big doses of cod-liver oil developed. This diet enlarged inflammatory processes, and it was required to a tumour only four weeks for development".

The given researches are published in magazine Cancer Research. There it is informed, that aggressive forms of tumours of an intestine developed not only at mice which received high doses of cod-liver oil, but also at those who received low doses. However Fenton does not consider, that it is a signal for all of us to exclude from a ration cod-liver oil.

"Now in the USA official references concerning consumption level Омега-3 are not generated, - speaks Fenton. - At the majority of Americans deficiency of this fat acid. Besides, scientists have enough the proof of that cod-liver oil renders salutary effect on the person".
Probably, that negative influence is bound only to high doses as the scientists who were carrying out researches consider.
