Regular consumption of nuts reduces pressure and cholesterol

The Mediterranean diet from vegetables, fruit and fish plus daily consumption of different nuts considerably improve a state of health, scientists consider. Research has been published in Archives of Internal Medicine journal, "the Medical information network" transfers.
Scientists have carried out research in which 1200 persons with a metabolic syndrome have taken part. Participants of experiment have parted on three groups: the first has received only councils concerning the use of the fat-free nutrition, the second - received quarterly lectures on the Mediterranean diet which includes a considerable quantity of vegetables and fruit, grain crops, and also reduces consumption of milk production and red meat. Each participant of the second group also received olive oil litre. In thirds to group there was all too most, as in the second, but plus to all to participants was given on 300 gramme of different nuts daily.
In a year experts have summed up research. It was found out, that in group of a fat-free diet approximately 2 % of people have got rid of a metabolic syndrome, in the second group - 6,7 %, and in the group which participants used nuts, this percent has made 13,7. At the people consuming nuts the whole year, level of cholesterol also has decreased and the blood pressure was stabilised. Such association has very much pleased researchers as metabolism disturbances often lead to cardiovascular diseases, that in turn enlarges risk of early mors.
