Stem cells from a tooth restore a bone
Experiment uses stem cells in regenerative medicine, informs on restoration of a human bone of a mandible with the help autologous stem cells received from a pulp of a tooth. It is the first case when research stem cells from a tooth pulp has promoted from laboratory experiences before application in clinic. High-grade restoration of facial bones difficult enough also has especially great value as such important functions depend on them, as speech, a facial expression, chewing and swallowing.
Used in work stem cells have been multiplied in vitro. As cells were autologous, their transplantation did not cause reaction of immune tearing away and the inflammation bound to it. On the contrary, they framed optimum conditions for growth of an osteal tissue. This technique also improves efficiency of application of cadaveric bones for implantation as own stem cells occupy a foreign material and allow it to grow together with bones of the recipient.
Besides, received of a tooth pulp stem cells can be used and for neogenesis of other tissues, as these cells multipotent. Such cells are easy for receiving, they well breed in culture, therefore represent one of the best kinds autologous stem cells for therapeutic applicatio.
