Usage
Along with the diet and exercises, Acomplia is recommended to corpulent and overweight people with diabetes (2nd type) and high level of fat in their blood. Drug action
Acomplia affects CB-1 receptors blocking them out to lower the patient's appetite. The amount of food decreases, and the person starts to lose his weight. Dosage
One 20 mg tablet taken daily in the morning, before breakfast. Recommended to swallow at once.
Skipped Dose
In case you failed to take your daily dose, take the missed tablet as soon as you will be able to. If it is nearly the time for the next dose, just forget them and keep to your regular scheme. Double dose is not recommended.
Side Effects
During the process of the body's adjusting to Acomplia, some of the following problems are possible: insomnia, anxiety, headache,nausea, disorientation and hallucinations,kidney problems, heart problems,strokes, heart attacks,hypertension ,palpitations, psychosis, fatigue and hyperphagia. Among possible side effects gastrointestinal discomfort and dizziness were reported as well.
Precautions
It is highly recommended to consult your doctor before taking Acomplia. Keep to the fixed dosage. In case of moderate hepatic impairment consult your doctor (Acomplia is metabolized by the liver).
In case of taking during pregnancy, Acomplia may become a cause of fetus defects. Nursing mothers should not use Acomplia due to a possibility of drug getting into their milk.
